Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These terms govern use of Spotty's scheduling, AI admin, and website tools by independent beauty and barber studios ("you," "your studio"). By using Spotty, you agree to them.

The service

Spotty provides software for studios with 1–10 chairs: online booking, a waitlist and cancellation-recovery engine, AI call/text answering, review replies, SMS/email marketing, and — as a separate add-on — a custom-built website. Features available to you depend on which plan(s) you're subscribed to.

Your responsibilities

Fees & billing

Plans are billed monthly as described on our pricing page. All plans, including the Growth Program, are month-to-month with no long-term contract — cancel any time from your dashboard. Website hosting is quoted individually based on your studio's site.

The Smart AI Admin guarantee

If your studio is subscribed to Smart AI Admin and Spotty does not recover at least one cancellation (a filled spot that would otherwise have gone empty, confirmed through the waitlist or win-back flow) within your first 30 days on the plan, that month's Smart AI Admin fee is waived. Contact us within 45 days of your start date to claim it.

AI-generated content

Call answering, text replies, review responses, and marketing messages sent through Spotty are generated automatically based on settings and templates your studio reviews and approves. While we work to keep this accurate and on-brand, Spotty is not liable for errors in AI-generated content beyond the service credits described in these terms.

Limitation of liability

Spotty is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including lost revenue from unfilled appointments. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may cancel any plan at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, including unlawful use of messaging features.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [state/jurisdiction to be finalized]. (Placeholder — confirm your actual governing jurisdiction before publishing.)

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and notify studio owners of material changes.
